Durango, Colorado

Hope Almy Hamilton (1235-4131-1213) has done a superb job in finding a reasonable priced meeting room in the Durango area. As Durango is a great tourist destination, the reasonably priced motels do not have meeting rooms for organizations. Hope was able to find a nice motel (Iron Horse Inn) at a reasonable special price ($49) that had a meeting room that we could rent. This was a good deal and I believe we will be well satisfied.
This will be an opportunity for those that have not been to the four corners area of the United States to do so. It is a fabulous area to visit. The special motel rate we have permits you to make the Iron Horse Inn a nice base of operations before and after the designated reunion days of Friday and Saturday, September 21 and 22. Here is a partial listing of things to do or places of interest in the area.

We plan to use our meeting room in the Iron Horse Inn on Friday, September 21, 2001. Then on Saturday, September 22, we could go on the Durango and Silverton Railroad as a group if enough people were interested. This is one of the "top 10 most exciting train journeys in the world." There is an option of going to Silverton on the train and then returning by motor coach, which gives a different view of the spectacular scenery.
