The 4300s was a 2002 Christmas present, and was a complete surprise. This was my first Dell purchase for the home, which until then was always "white box" computers.

System was originally intended to sit flat on the desktop, however that made the monitor too high, so it was placed on the floor like a tower case. Subwoofer and UPS show in this picture as well. |

Power supply fan is mounted on the inside (again, quiet), and sucks air through the baffle around the hard drive, keeping it cool. The air intake for the hard drive baffle faces the CD/floppy drives so they keep cool as well. This system has never blue-screened and is either on or in standby mode 24/7. |
